Sometimes the inspiration for a pattern can be as simple as the title of the fabric - in this case “The Front Porch”. I did not want to go overboard with the appliqué so I chose two items that I would like to have on my front porch and I chose a ladder and flowers. I don’t know what it is about flowers that always make me smile. Is it the pops of color or their connection with nature? Sometimes it is definitely the scent. We have a rosebush in our garden that is very sad. It only produces a few flowers every year but they are so fragrant, I could never get rid of it.
